Our Growing Knowsley’s Future community came together at The Old School House, Huyton, to celebrate connection, creativity, and local heritage. From crafts and storytelling to shared recipes, the project has brought Knowsley’s food and farming history vividly to life.
New Exhibition, Unearthed: Knowsley's Food and Farming Heritage. From 8th to 17th December 2025 you will have the opportunity to step back in time and discover the hidden roots of Knowsley, at Kirkby Gallery.
Growing Knowsley’s Future project has so far delivered a range of engaging activities uncovering Knowsley’s farming past, capturing memories and images, and sowing seeds of creativity and connection with over 50 participants from right across Knowsley.
Eating Knowsley sessions launched with joyful community cookery at the Old Schoolhouse in Huyton. Locals shared stories, cooked heritage recipes, and celebrated Knowsley’s rich food culture.
