Unearth Knowsley’s food and farming story with us

Knowsley’s rich agricultural history is full of untold stories—help us uncover, preserve, and celebrate them.

Your skills, creativity and memories are needed to make it happen!

Join Knowsley Archives, Culture Knowsley, and Knowsley College already with us to bring this history to life.

Whether you love food, have a knack for research, enjoy capturing stories, or prefer hands-on creativity – volunteer with us. We need you and there are lots of different ways you can join in.

Together, we’ll piece together Knowsley’s food story, create an exhibition that keeps Knowsley’s farming heritage alive, and help shape a better food future in our community.

Get involved, learn new skills, and let’s make sure the stories, traditions, and knowledge aren’t lost to time. Anyone with farming memorabilia from the area – we’d love to hear from you too!

Volunteers, local groups, college students and schools are all invited to take part in the project through creative, celebratory and investigative activities, and events led by expert practitioners (also currently being recruited), allowing people from across Knowsley to enjoy and play a part in recording and learning from the farming heritage of the borough.
